About

Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley of upstate New York is a brand new state of the art wellness center. Hudson Valley Animal Wellness is specifically geared towards maintaining and improving the quality of life for our animal companions. Offering services that range from behavioral medicine, to chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, energy healing, and physical therapy, there is much that can be addressed regarding our animal’s physical and psychological wellbeing at our facility.

The facility is staffed by Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians all of whom have received training and/or certification in Low Stress Handling techniques, and all are Laser Therapy Certified. The primary LVT working the facility is also a CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner). The experience for you as a pet owner and indeed your pet themselves will be handled with the upmost respect, care, and attention to detail.

The facility also offers socialization classes for puppies and kittens to make sure that your pet has balance from the beginning. Being able to offer so many modalities has become a mantra for the business owner, Eric Hartelius, DVM, who currently is owner and operator of two veterinary clinics, Rondout Valley Veterinary Associates (LINK), and Stone Ridge Veterinary Clinic (LINK) located both within 10 minutes of the wellness center. The goal of the wellness center is to bring to the Hudson Valley a new choice, in treatments, beliefs, and lifestyle, to optimize your pet’s quality of life. This can be achieved through means of traditional eastern or western medicine and in many cases a combination of both. Enhancing our pet’s quality of life enhances the balance and quality of our entire family unit.

Hudson Valley Animal Wellness offers us the option, location, highly trained staff, and compassion that we have grown to expect from our veterinary professionals.

The staff welcome you to contact the facility for a consultation with Dr. Hartelius personally to address any concerns that you may have as a pet owner in regards to maintaining or improving any quality of life concerns for your pets. After receiving a referral from your primary veterinarian you will work together with Dr. Hartelius to develop a personalized wellness plan and see what specific modalities can be used to achieve an enriched quality of life. All referrals to Hudson Valley Animal Wellness must come from your primary veterinarian. Download a referral letter to bring to your current veterinarian on our forms page.
